Our Thanksgiving

11.30.2014

This past Thanksgiving, just like any other, was filled with food. Because of time restrictions and work, we couldn’t really go out of town for a bit to enjoy the mini holiday. But nonetheless, we managed to have a nice dinner. What did I have? Ha! Well just a typical kid’s meal at this restaurant. Some fries, some pasta. Come on! Don’t tell me I’m the only one still getting the kid’s meal… You know you still want that kiddy fries and drink. You know it. And of course, what Thanksgiving dinner would be perfect without some dessert? This time, I ordered the ice cream crepe instead of the HK egg waffles and the brick toast… Man, I really need to try out some legit Japanese crepes. I’ve been eating way too many HK-fied ones. Anyways, it was genuinely a very enjoyable Thanksgiving dinner. I’m thankful for a lot of things, but I’d have to say that the top one would have to be that I’m part of such a loving group family and friends. The support and care I receive is irreplaceable.

Pet Peeves

11.29.2014
bread

I'm the type of person that gets red in the face just like that. Don't believe me? Ask my friends... whenever we work on a project together and something happens that isn't going the way I wanted, I get extremely stressed and frustrated... in a matter of seconds. So what exactly makes me all irritated? Well let's see...

(1) When people eat with their mouths open and make the sound... *she-ak she-ak she-ak* Seriously I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

(2) Having a cluttered work space or room. I definitely am not OCD, but I just can't stand a staying in a place where everything is all over the place. Just no. No.

(3) Getting another pimple right after the previous one heals. Being acne prone, this is not fun. I worked so hard to get rid of one and now its soul still lurks around to haunt me... grrrrr!

(4) Split ends.... I'm pretty sure everyone out there hates them, right? I still remember when I found my first split end... I didn't know how one looked like prior to that.... I didn't know they could make your hair so rough and stiff.... Ugh just got to chop all them off!

(5) When people make me a sandwich and cut off the crust. Yup, I literally get frustrated and a bit tipped off whenever anyone does that. I mean, thank you for the sandwich and all but please, I'd like the crust on. O. N. On.... Thank you very much. (I'm weird. I know.)

(6) I really don't like hanging around negative people... They seem to always succeed in sucking out all my energy (and I'm an introvert already). So that's exactly why I think it'd be wise to stop complaining here.

Let's stay positive and be happy!! Cupcakes and ice cream everyday! What are some of your pet peeves?

10 things that made me happy this week!

11.28.2014

Ahhh... first post on this segment! What happened today? Well, a whole week of Thanksgiving break is officially over... No!! Though I haven't really done anything other than stay at home and do homework, there were defintely things that made me quite very happy!

  1. Listening to some of my favorite songs before bedtime... Here's a list of just a few of them.
  2. Going out and finally taking my sweet 16 photoshoot with my family. When I get the pictures, I'll definitely share it on this beloved diary of mine.
  3. Repainting my nails! I didn't have the time to pamper myself for the last three weeks or so, so I was practically living with disgustingly chipped tips for quite a while...
  4. Watching Bubz's vlogs... They always make me ever so happy! It just makes me a proud subscriber whenever she can always make those haters look childish for commenting such hurtful things.
  5. Eating out with my parents for Thanksgiving... Quality family time is always appreciated!
  6. Reaching 14 followers on Bloglovin'! Hopefully no one unfollows and make me sad to see them go... Anyways, hip hip hooray!!
  7. Having Pudding wake me up in the morning. Her licks can get a bit crazy, but oh she's sooo cute!
  8. Finally eating a bit healthier, again. Lately I've been eating a bit too much fried foods, pasta, and such... fruits and vegetables taste the best!
  9. Coming home and being able to avoid the hectic enviornment out there during Black Friday... It's too crazy. Much too crazy.
  10. Jumping into clean, cool sheets and taking a nice 9-hour sleep at the end of the day. Nothing feels better!
What made you happy this week?

TT: November Ballad-ish Playlist

11.25.2014
Picture from passionforflowers. Edited by Connie
Since it's the last Tuesday of this month, I think it's the time for me to share what I've been listening to these past 25 days. Fall is coming to an end in less than a month, so with all this gloomy weather I realized that I've been listening to more and more ballads...
less of those "let's pop and lock" songs...

If you've been following with the TT series, you'd most likely have realized that the songs I typically share are either of the K-pop genre or the Mando-pop genre. And so this playlist will be no exception. If you have the time, please take a moment and enjoy the songs. I personally think they're extremely enjoyable as listening to them always puts a smile on my face.

1. Thank you for my love - VIXX
2. Sad Ending - VIXX
3. 천사가 아냐 - Apink
4. 我們在同一個頻率 - 朱俐靜 ft. 陳彥允
5. 好想對她說 - 炎亞綸
6. Where Are You? What Are You Doing?(어디니? 뭐하니?) - B.A.P
7. 오늘은 꼭(Definitely Today) - B.A.P
8. 泡沫 - G.E.M (鄧紫棋)
9. Rewind  - Zhoumi
10. Why - Zhoumi
11. 愛你 (aini) - Kimberley Chen
12. Starlight's Song - B1A4
13. You Make Me A Fool - B1A4
14. 我的小生活 - 朱俐靜
15. 存在的力量 - 朱俐靜
16. 因你而存在 - JJLin
17. True Love - High4
For your convenience, I've created a playlist on Youtube :) Have fun music-ing! (No, that's not a word... have no idea where I got that from.)

Favorite Photo Editing Apps

11.24.2014
You guys all know what generation it is, correct? Yup, it's the selfie generation. Exactly why I'd like to share my favorite apps for editing selfies as well as simple editing apps.

(1)  美颜相机 or BeautyPlus
Both apps are extremely similar. They both sport the face slimming, face whitening, and other various useful tools for editing the face as well as the body. I'd say the biggest difference, among many little ones, between the two (disregarding that 美颜相机 is in Chinese while BeautyPlus is in English) is that 美颜相机 has the video-beautifying function. So for those who like posting mini 10-second videos, 美颜相机 is perfect. However, if you're just looking into beautifying selfies, both definitely work wonders :)
