5 Things this June

一 | Allegeric Reaction. I slightly mentioned it previously that I sprang my ankle sometime last month. But because it wasn't showing any signs of improvement, I went to an acupuncturist for some help. My ankle no longer hurts (yay!) but the medicine she gave me caused the skin around my ankle to burst up in an allergic reaction war. I'm not going to get into the details of the bilsters and crusts...just know it's bad. Nowadays, I just find myself limping around to get to places. Life isn't easy.

二 | Back to the Library. Most people don't know this, but I've previously volunteered at my local library in the tech department. It had loads of fun there so this summer, I decided to return and enjoy my summer there. Just did the same old: repair books, process new books and CDs, magazines, government docs...

三 | First ER Experience. Okay, don't freak out... yet. I wasn't on the verge of dying. Well my foot just seemed to be. I mentioned in 1 that I had an allergic reaction and that's exactly why I went in. Been to the doctor's 2 times, coming out with 2 different sets of ointments and medications. Nothing helped my foot at all. And so I got some "more professional" help. Good thing, my foot seems to be getting better now.

四 | Moved Instagram Accounts. I've been using my original "theconbonz" account for quite a while now. But I think it's time to move on and create one that has a much more aesthetically pleasing feed. All's good all's good. \(> u <)/ If you want, you can always find me @its.koonnie

五 | On Pointe. Now that it's officially summer, I need to return to summer school again. Only this time, it's dance camp. Yup, I'll only be at the studio from 10 to 5 dancing until my toes hurt and blister. Haha, I sound a bit bitter. But on the brighter side, I've lost quite some weight through this, and the camp has only begun. I see - no feel - those abs peeping through already. Oh hello my little ab-lings!

Mixtape | Spring and Summer

5 Weeks. It's been 5 weeks since I updated a mixtape of my currently most listened to songs. It is time. If you're someone who's really up to date with the music releases, especially the ones in the K-pop industry, you'll know that new music pops up every single day. Miss one week and who know. Might just miss your jam of the season! *True story. Happened to me* I've managed to once again present a mixture of several genres. Hopefully, this will help expose you to new music that you might just fall in love with.

Trust Me to Cook (not)

Okay, so I know how awesome it is when a girl can cook. I know it. But I'm sorry, I'm no genius when it comes to cooking. I can do fried rice, egg, and pancakes, but give me some more time for everything else. Since we're on the topic of pancakes, guess what I made for breakfast today? Yes, pancakes! But not just any type. It's Cinnamon Pancakes. Frankly, I just ran out of vanilla and decided to substitute that with some cinnamon powder. Was it good? Yeah, I'd say so. Just you know that burning sensation cinnamon can give you? Got that on the third pancake... So I just stopped eating there. Yup. I think next time, I'll just stick with the traditional buttermilk pancakes. Or maybe buy some vanilla.

Little Adventures | Kpop Haul

School's out and what do you do? Yes, you go down to K-town and do a little shopping with your friends. It's pretty funny because when we entered that shopping plaza, anyone could just look at us and figure out that we were another one of those Kpop fans. Ha, but that's alright. Proud girl right here.

Upon entering the store, I immediately shot to the merch aisle, looking for those pop up stickers that had just come in. Found them, grabbed 4 packs - VIXX, two B1A4's (another one for my friend), and BTS. With that done, it's album shopping time. I came in there intending to leave with 1-2 albums, but instead I left with 5. And here's my logic. How often do I get to go to downtown? At most twice a year. So with that said, it only makes sense to get what I need before leaving. That way I'll return home with no regrets. That is my logic.

Anyways, which ones did I get?

Being a devout Bana, it is quite surprising to know that I didn't have their very first album until now. But girl here is very close to having their entire collection. Just missing 3 more. I'll make it. No worries. As for VIXX's newest album ~ I can't tell you how loud I shrieked when I discovered I got N's photocards. My god, good thing I switched the album. Wait, let's rewind. I was there looking for the Boys' Record Album. Didn't take me long to find it. But much to my dismay it was a little bent at the edges and because of that I attempted to look for a newer one. Found a whole stack below that shelves and quickly did an exchange. And thank goodness I did... Hehe, I'd say this is definitely a good start to my summer. Really looking forward to what happens the next two months.

Officialy Turning 1

Dear my lovely readers,

Theconbonz has officially turned 1! I still remember when I first started this blog, I started out of pure passion and excitement in creating something that will allow me to get in touch with family and friends. But like most bloggers I, too, went through many phases. I may have only blogged for a short 12 months, but I can tell you that I’ve been through the “only numbers” phase, the beauty blogger phase, the music blogger phase, the “nonsense blogger” phase, the design changing phase, as well as the “annoying promoter” phase. I can’t say that I’ve completely cleansed myself of all these past identities, but I can say that I’ve at least managed to discover the true blogger I want to become.

I’ve returned to my roots. This blog will only be about me, my life, my obsessions. Anything I find worth sharing will be shared. No more nonsense, irrelevant posts that don’t match my blogging intentions. But I guess, writing irrelevant posts isn’t all bad. We can see it as one of the things that help us all grow. It was a stepping stone. It was these irrelevant posts that allowed me to become who I am today, one year later from the birth of theconbonz. But there’s definitely more to this.

During this short time I’ve researched a lot, read a lot, thought a lot, and met a lot. What do I mean? Well, I’ve mentioned this many times before, but I truly think that in order to improve you have to expose yourself. You can’t sit there in bed waiting for some awesome opportunity to hit you. If you want to be that blogger, you got to find your way there first. There were many sleepless nights just trying to discover the “real” way to blog. I can’t possibly enumerate how many minutes I’ve spent on this. But after all that researching and reading, I thought. I pieced together each idea to create what has become of me today. Not perfect, but getting there. As for “met a lot.” I’ve definitely “met a lot” of inspirational bloggers. Just on the top of my head – Michelle, Winnie, Stephanie, and Joana. I really have to give them my biggest thanks. Huge hugs and kisses!!

And to end this bit of a lengthy post, I shall say that after reading Joana’s list for 101 things in 1001 days, I’ve decided to start a list myself. It’ll be lots of fun, so please join me in on it. I’ll be talking more about this series I’m starting in the next post. Until then, thank you for sticking with me during this past year. And if your new, please hop on board; let's have some tea together.
